vintage labels

For a while i'm collecting old, richly illustrated books for children. I love the supersweet illustrations. Inspirated by Bien i started to make some vintage labels with these happy pictures. So much fun to do..ik cannot stop yet!

Cards caroussel!

On queensday, my day of the year, i bought this cards caroussel for 5 euro. Although there isn't any space left in my house, i just bought it. I thought i could use it for the crafty market in September with Sandra. For now it ended up in my kitchen, and i use it as an ever changing exposition caroussel with happy things.

Restaurant het Rode Roosje

Last Saturday we celebrated Roos birthday with al her schoolmates. We did a restaurantparty; the kids run their own restaurant and the parents were the quests. It really was a big succes! It was so much fun to see how the kids felt responsibil for the restaurant and how they came up with ideas i never thougt of. In the beginnning we made all kinds of little food like sandwiches, sweetsushi and fruitsticks, then the kids made an inventarisation and created the menucard, 'thank you'-cards and nameholders. Then the whole kitschen was transformed into a restaurant!!We only had half an hour left before the quests came, so it was a bit stressy, just like a real restaurant! But at 17.00 uur the restaurant and her staff was ready; the quests were welcome!

Sneak preview Roos' party

This weekend, we made the invitations for Roos' party and we did a try-out for next week. We made a restaurant of our Kitchen! It was so much fun, our own little restaurant!

sweets from Berlin!

In Berlin i bought these sweet sweets and fluor sugarsticks! Oh and ofcourse i bought some wasitape! My collection must be up to date!

I love Berlin!

This weekend my love and I visited Berlin and my little Niece and husband. They live there so I really had to visit Birlin!
Although it was very cold in Berlin we had a very nice and inspiring weekend! We only did visit three subareas (Kreuzberg,Friedrichshein and Prenzlauerberg) of Berlin; so i really have to go back for the other three!
At sunday we visited the weekly Flohmarkt am Mauerpark! It's a huge market with a lot of vintage and different kinds of art. I just bought myself a screenprint with fine colors.
Berlin is a 'relaxed' city with a lot of vintage shops, cheap taxi's, grosses Bier, lovely shops, trendy bars and a lot of street art.
I bought some cards, new wasi tape and buttons. These pictures will follow soon because i just left it all @ my nieces place:(

hi there i'm back!

Due to illness and busyness i was out of my blog-office for a while. But i'm back with a lot of pictures!
First i received the beautifull give-away from Bien. It contains a package with all kinds of wrapping stuff! I love her creativity with vintage (memorycards), tape en REL paper!. I did use some of it already!
After this i bought these sweet towels, handmade by a mother of a friend of mine! They really makes me happy! And...last but nog least...i finally finished my 'schortjes'-project! For Roos party i sewed 9 little schortjes (apron)! I love them so much, so does my dear buuf! She just shows you one! Now Roos' party can finally being planned! By the way, What do you think of the little fluor-label of the schortjes?? A nice finishing touch isn't it??
